You can contact me by phone or email. I will reply as quickly as possible. If I don’t please try me again. I will endeavour to give you a rough price over the phone, if the work is relatively straightforward, if not I will arrange a time to visit your home to discuss the specification. At this point we will discuss the design, the usage purpose and the materials. I will then email you a quotation with the exact price and specification. I will also give you a timescale that am planning to work to. This can change (never by more than a week or two) as once I start work in a house there is usually a creaky stair, a door that won’t shut properly, a loose towel rail etc. I usually try to carry out this extra work while I am there and charge by the day / half day. Once we have agreed that the quotation is agreeable to everybody then I will need a deposit of 50% of the total cost of the work. This puts you firmly in my schedule of work and allows materials to be ordered in advance. I then turn up with some very fine units and you provide a clear, tidy area for me to work in and some delectable biscuits for me to nibble on throughout the day.
